How long does it take to set up the system for use?
After initial charging of the batteries, it should only take a few minutes to set up. The packs are secured to the users with a quick snap belt; earpiece looped to ear and plugged into radio; glasses slipped on and cable plugged into controller; coach pack has one additional power and video connection for the camera; power switch on and GO!
How long will it take to see benefits from using the system?
There is a short adjustment period to become comfortable with the "dash-boarding" concept. Initial user feedback indicated that the tendency was to spend too much time looking at the video image. Like driving a car, you still need to keep your eyes on the road and check the instrument panel periodically.
An interesting phenomenon that was observed in our testing, showed that users began self-correcting their body positioning (dressage and golf) within the first 30 seconds of use. Sustainable improvement will require managing the process. A short period of successful performance, including visual and auditory feedback as well as attention to "the feel" (Proprioception and Kinesthetic Awareness) of successful performance will be more beneficial than hours of drilling. Repeat the process every two to three days until it becomes a natural "mental loop".
Can I use the radios that I already have to communicate during lessons?
Possibly. The S³P.I. System uses the 2.4ghz frequency band to send the wireless video. The complete system employs radios in the 900mhz band to eliminate any possibility of signal interference. If your existing radios operate in the 2.4ghz band, we do not recommend using them with the S³P.I.
Do I need an FCC license to operate the S³P.I. System?
No. All components of the system are FCC compliant and do not need a license.
How long do the batteries last?
The system was designed to function for a full day of lessons on a single charge.
Can I still wear my riding helmet when using the system?
Yes, a helmet is always a good idea. The loop for the earset is small and the head mounted display is worn like sunglasses, both of which have been tested with riding helmets.
Is it safe to buy from your site?
